PRAYER TO TAKE SPIRITUAL OWNERSHIP OF YOUR HOME OR WHERE YOU ARE STAYING

Demons can take up residence in a house or in a building, wherever someone has once lived or was used by people. I call them, 'residence demons', they spiritual ownership of the house/building/apartment/cabin etc.. claiming it as theirs and they don't want to leave. So it is important to ensure no demonic spirit or power remains when we move into a new home or a use a building that was once occupied or used by someone else or they will try to influence us and cause disturbance.

Demons will stay due to the sins committed in the house/building or on the land but if we bring those sins under the precious blood of Jesus, they are cancelled and if any curse is operating due to the sins, it can be broken and the demons must leave!

Demons are legalistic, if a curse is active due to sins committed, they won't leave until the curse is broken. Until then, they have legal right to stay and will influence and affect those who use the building or live in the home. As a deliverance minister, I have cast out many resident demons from people who did not know how to take authority or even knew they needed to take spiritual authority of their new residence.

The steps I am sharing, will benefit any Believer who moves into a new home or is renting an apartment/mobile home that was once occupied or for their current home.

These steps can be used if staying at a motel or hotel, at any temporary accommodation.

If you are renting a building to hold church meetings taking spiritual ownership is important to do.

FIRST STEP

Remove any item highlighted to you by Holy Spirit, left behind by those who lived there before. (If renting a building and you can't remove the items. Bring every item under the blood of Jesus and cancel all demonic powers. Then command any demons attached to those items to leave.)

Walk through the house, remove items that belonged to the people who lived there before that doesn't feel right in your spirit, Holy Spirit will highlight these objects or belongings to you. Could be a painting that was left hanging on the wall. Old books left in the attic, old clothes or statues in the basement. Remove and burn or throw in the bin. If they are not right for you, they are not right for anyone else.

SECOND STEP

Remove all resident demons, every demonic spirit and power.

Declare out loud this prayer in boldness, in the authority you have in Jesus, knowing the demons are subject to you and must obey! (Luke 10:19)

"In the name of Jesus, I repent on behalf of all those who once lived in (Name where you are living or staying/apartment/house/hotel room/building) before me, of every sin that has ever been committed or on the land itself. I renounce those sins and bring them all under the blood of Jesus Christ!

Any curse that came upon this land or in the building from the sins that were committed, I break those curses! In Jesus name!

Every demonic spirit or power attached to this building because of the sins committed or attached because of a curse and think this is your home, I command you to leave! In Jesus name! You have no more legal right to stay! This is not your home! Every resident demon, every demonic spirit and power, no matter where you are located, leave now! I release the fire of God all over you, it will stay on you until you leave! I command you go straight to the abyss from where you cannot return! In Jesus name! I claim this building and the land it is on for the kingdom of God! It has been brought under the precious blood of Lord Jesus, the curses have been broken! No demon has a right to stay! OUT NOW! In Jesus name!"

Go to each room, commanding all demons to leave.

THIRD STEP

Anoint your new home/rented building/temporary accommodation with oil and dedicate it to our Lord. Dabbing a little oil over every entrance and doorway.

The oil can be any kind you want to use, such as olive oil. As you anoint with the oil, speak this prayer in boldness and in faith.

“I apply this oil in the authority I have been given by Lord Jesus, it represents the power of God and the power of the blood of the Lamb." (Anoint all doorways and windows)

Then make this declaration.

"I declare this building and the land it stands on and all who live here or visits, comes under the protection of the Most High! Nothing of the realms of darkness can cross the blood of the Lamb! His blood separates this building and all who live here or visits from everything of the realms of darkness! All who enter come under the sanctifying blood of the Lamb of God, under the covering of the Almighty. In Jesus name!

I declare we dwell in the secret place of the Most High, under the shadow of the Almighty! He is our Refuge and our Fortress, our God in whom we trust! He is our hedge of protection! If God is for us, who can be against us! In Jesus name."

FORTH STEP

Speak out loud whatever bible verses Holy Spirit brings to your mind and then worship God! Worship and sing aloud to Him! Fill your new home with the atmosphere of heaven! Glorify the One who watches over you and upholds you with His righteous right hand! Rejoice and be glad in Him! Amen!

Ask Holy Spirit to fill every room of your new home/rented building with Him! Ask Him to have His way in your home, in the lives of all those who will be living there and in the lives of those who visit. To lead you in holiness, in righteous and in the truth.

Ask Lord Jesus to take His rightful place as King of kings and Lord of lords! DECLARING JESUS AS LORD IN YOUR HOME!

FIFTH STEP SELF DELIVERANCE

This is optional. If you feel resident demons may have taken up residence not just in the building but now may be with you, speak this prayer to ensure none stay!

This is a self deliverance prayer. Demons are spirits, they can leave as a cough, sigh, yawn, burp, sneeze, tears from the eyes, build up of salvia (spit out), vomit, pressure in the head that goes, momentarily dizzy that leaves, a weight lifts, feel lighter. Some feel nothing at all as demons leave.

"I sever myself from every ungodly soul tie or demonic bond to (Name where you are currently living or once lived). In Jesus name. If I made any agreements with the realms of darkness, knowingly or unknowingly, at any time, I break those agreements! In Jesus name! I command every demonic spirit and power that came from (Name where you are currently living or once lived) leave me in all your entirety! LOOSE YOURSELF! DETACH! OUT! In Jesus name! Go straight to the abyss from where you cannot return! Fire of God all over you demons! Leave now! In Jesus name!"
